This is a steal for a pleasant drumset. solid shells & quality hardware. Assembles basically even with caveman instructions. Heads are playable but definitly need replaced. Symbals are solid with first rate resonance & sound but you will need to upgrade to your own preference. Pedal is a standard single (already upgraded to DW-7000 DB). All in all this is an fabulous starter drumset for the cost but can be made in to a top dollar set with a few upgrades. Lovely for all skill levels. I played drums historicallyin the past (about ten years ago), & recently started back up with this set for a hard-rock/metal style this set is definitly sufficient to get me going & keep me going. Arrived in three days undamaged & packaged well, you get what you pay for & then some and the potential to make in to a high finish set. No complaints at all, highly recommend!!
